Hi all I have had mixed views on this. I have a 15hh tradional cob unhogged an woukd like to have a go at the prelim dressarge tests.
I'm lucky enough to have access to an arena to practice an a test centre just up the road.

I know the standard dressarge is a sleek sport looking but wondered if I would have a funny look with a cob?
Also wondering what to wear? Is this the same for normal inhand/ridden showing.

Thanks in advance

No - you wouldn't look out of place doing dressage with a cob. Normal attire is dark jacket, light jods, gloves, tie/stock. No martingales or boots on horse - also check your bit is dressage legal.

Most unaffiliated tests are a huge mix of breeds and rider ability, its not till you move about half way up the levels at BD that you will see the majority of horses all looking quite similar ;)
If you have a cob look up Billy Whizz and Sam Turner for inspiration, i have seen them a few times at camp and competitions and they are just incredible!
