My mare has had wax for a few days and today she has been dripping milk down one of her back legs :)

Her belly has dropped and moved backwards, her bum isn't that soft, but is relaxed and she is a maiden mare, so who knows?

Now very nervously excited! she's 328 days today.

Think I will be kipping in the trailer from now on!

Good Luck!!!
My maiden mare waxed up for 4 days and ran milk for 2 days but then she went 388 days !!!! Another Maiden mare I had last year showed no signs and just popped one out.... That was a shock, she did it again to me this year lol!

Have fun... hope everything goes OK!

388 days! yikes! I will actually kill her if she tries waiting another 2 months!!!

Hopefully not too many sleep deprived nights. She looks quite chilled out this evening, so I've left her to get a few hours rest, before I head back up.

I have also done a running plait in her mane as it's so long and thick, so at least it will be out of the way, not sticking to a potentially sweaty coat and (most importantly!!) out of foalies reach!

Any news? She isn't due till the 26th so I think I still have a few days but I have been expecting her to Foal all week so it feels like she is overdue :) mum has rung and said Sadie is quiet and eating. I will be home in an hour to take over, how about your mare?

No baby

Her bag has filled more this morning and she's not dripping as her teat is well and truely plugged with a huge lump of wax!

She's in the field being proper horrid to her friend and biting her belly between grazing. I'll be going to get her in shortly. I don't think she'll go during the day, but who knows!

I'm thinking the weekend. She might do it tonight, but I'm sure she'd rather see me totally zonked first!

Good luck haras and everyone else that is waiting for there new arrivals:)

Als looking very close will be starting foal watch soon I think too...we are checking on her quite alot at the moment but not yet camping out with her.

She has had wax for nearly three weeks now and fluid in her udder, the odd splash of milk on her legs this past week, bottom very jelly around her tail area and falling away from her tailhead, baby dropped and seems to have moved back some althoug her udder is not large I am not relying on this to tell me she is ready;) She is 321 days today

Worried about my daughters QH mare. She's fifteen years old and had three foals since we've had her. No problems. Has fantastic thoroughbred bloodlines. But the problem is been checking on her on pasture as she readies to foal, she gets nervous in a stall and does better when with the other horses, I noticed her belly has dropped and not like usual. She looks like a old pregnant jersey cow. A definite hard section the length of the whole bottom part of the belly. My daughter that took equine reproduction in college thought she might have miscarried but no discharge, smell and other than how she looks is acting fine. This morning she has a perfectly beautiful little filly. Afterbirth passed no signs of infection on it, no discharge but still as huge as can be and belly still extremely dropped. Still looked like an old cows belly. Called the vet and they said watch her but they think since she's acting fine and the foals in good health, afterbirth looking fine, she should be fine. It should go back to normal with time. Just worried because she's never looked like this before. Any one else ever had this happen?
