OMG, i was out riding and leading earlier, from a bridle with Jess on my left hand side. Now my girls are very good and well practised at this as are they total angels with traffic (big things make them jog a bit but are generally fab with buses and trucks)
Well i was riding down the road thanking the cars, and a cyclist came past me so i said 'thank you' and smiled as he went past me, to it he replied 'i dont think so.........take your horses back to the b****y fields' well i was like hang on a minute your on a BIKE with no flouresents (cant spell) on the road and me totally blinding in the sunlight!
Then a car slowed down (coming the other way) i said thank you and he swore at me!!!
I was being totally legal with no more than 2 cars behind me at any one time (other wise i pull over to let them all past).
On the way back i had to go down a narrow road so i put jess behind me and walked looking round corners etc, and a police car came past slowed down and i said 'thank you' by putting my hand up and off he went - so i obviously wasnt breaking the law, so what gives the ppl the right to treat riders like that on the road? especially a cyclist!!!!!
