Driving in "Country" style leather boots

Hi,

How many people drive in their "country" boots (such as Toggi Canyon & Dublin River)? Is it detrimental to the boot?

Asking because I have ruined two pairs of wellington's recently, I think by driving in them.

I can't see why it would damage them any more than other shoes tbh. I've been driving in my wellies for years and never had a problem.
