Let me explain a few years ago I was going to do my HVG test (over 7.5 tons) due to my lorry might be upgraded.

As it turned out, I decided not to do it, but they did send me a reminder to do a medical etc for it, which I later found out I did not have to do it due to me not doing the HGV test so saved doing the medical and paying over £ 100.

I have all the relevant options to drive bus and lorries up to 7.5 tons. DVLA are useless no answer to phone calls, stupid useless bot which sends you round and round.

They sent me a D47 P form with a medical for it again, but not sure if this is to keep my 7.5 tons on my licence or what as I do not remember what form I was sent last time. It says my HGV entitlement runs out in August 2021, but on my licence it it says it runs out 2031!!

Anyone shed light on it

I don't want to lose my entitlement to drive my horsebox which is 7.5 ton

If you passed your car test before 1997 then you have LGV C1 until age 70 after which you will need to do the D4 medical to keep it
NEVER pay more than £60 for a D4 medical or consider yourself ripped off
