I have had enough experience of driving to know that I like it so I'm not worried about that aspect. I worked for a lady who did competition driving at weekends when I was in 6th form. Mostly she wanted the ponies ridden for miles at weekends but I did go out quite a few times on the back of the cart, clinging on for dear live while she razzed them up the byways! I loved it. ?

I drive my 13hh Exmoor pony. It is very hilly around here and I made an effort to make it as easy as possible for him, so I have four-wheeled vehicle with brakes and a lovely wide breast collar. he was introduced to driving when he was 16 years old and took to it like a duck to water (he is 23 years old in this photo). I was amazed he just knew what to do. If he was fitter in general I think he could go for miles. 31D5FE94-1288-4FED-B5E4-AE30712A67FC.jpeg
