Im currently looking for a cart/trolley for my lil shetty.

Quite frankly its like looking ar cars (which im not the best st lol)

Any tips?

2 or 4 wheels?
Breaked not breaked?

Thanks for any tips :)

First time driver? - 2 wheels is easier, and light enough that brakes aren't necessary. Make sure its got a swingletree unless you're driving in a full (round) collar. If you're looking at home builds be wary of poor construction. Bicycle wheels aren't strong enough. Car wheels are robust, but heavy for a shettie. Motorbike wheels are good.

Some of the little trolleys avaliable for shetties are based on luggage trolleys and not really suitable for 'proper' work or any distance. That said, we have one and the kids have a ball with it. We just don't take it very far as it rattles, and some day a wheel will fall off.

We have great fun driving ours, and it's amazing how much work those little guys can do.

Before you buy a two wheeler, sit in it with someone holding the shafts and check it is balanced correctly. Some home made jobs are really off with their balance and will end up being an uncomfortable ride for both the pony and yourselves.

Hi,

Yeah first time driver, going to have some lessons, i just thought it would be a good thing to do with my mum, my lil shetty doesnt like being ridden but enjoys working with a cart (i havnt dont it with her myself) but someone else has.

Thank you your tips are very useful, ive been looking at the two wheel excercise carts so far xx
