Hello Everyone

I've never done carriage driving but I'm really interested in giving it a try. Anyone know of anywhere in or within reasonable travelling distance of Hertfordshire which offers lessons or a chance to have a go?

Thanks!

Usual advice. Look on the British Driving Society website. You can find a contact on there for your area and they are sure to know someone who teaches (and knows what they are doing). Glad to see you have the sense to learn how to do it and have not just harnessed up. Good luck and have fun.

Like learning any new skill it is easy when you know how. At first it will be like trying to tie a shoelace but with practice you will do things automatically. Enjoy.

If you are confident around horses it's not too bad. Once you get going it's the best fun ever. When i was learning to drive at the age of 54 I got up every Tues morning and thought Yippee. It's driving lesson day. Like a child really, but I enjoyed it so much. Have a great time! ( hardest thing was remembering the correct order to harness up)
