I got a lovely Drizabone for Christmas. My daughter surfed the web and actually got it from Australia in record time. Unfortunately it is just a mite too long and nearly brushes the ground when I walk which will be a bit awkward in mud. What would be the best way to turn up the hem? Suggestions range from having it turned up by a proper tailor to using that webbing stuff you iron on. Has anyone else had and solved this problem?

I think the iron on would not be heavy weight enough to hold it. I would try a dry cleaners or a local alterations person. I didn't know you could still get them! BIL and OH had them years ago but I haven't seen one for a long time!

drizabone stuff is great , id get it done by a proper tailor, i have a waistcoat, 3/4 jacket, full length coat, (coughs) skip hat and even my dog has a drizabone dog coat with wee pockets on it for treats and had all of them for years ,great quality products
