I would say go 4 it! I brought a 2 yr old TB x last summer and have now brought a foal who i will be getting in september after she has been weaned. If he is what you want i would buy him, good thing with them being young you can still train them to get the perfect ride you want from them. I have just started breaking my 2 year old (hes 3 in july), i am not really planning on turning him away just carrying on with lightwork with him as he seems 2 be doing fine with everything i have made him do so far.
As for wearing spurs i have never really needed to wear any so can't really give an opinion on that...sorry!
