I would actually prefer to see it higher than in either of those pictures.

You need to be able to slide a finger all the way round it. Just make sure it is not fitted too low as it will interfere with your horses breathing. If I remember correctly got to be at east 6 cms from the nostril area.

Your first pic looks a little high IMO

i personally think the top one looks a little high but that might just be me.

erm, its difficult to tell from the angle of the 1st one, the 2nd one looks too low I think.

Mine looks like this but I dont know if mines right either - it never affects her breathing though and i can fit my finger underneath it.
