Dropped oak leaves

How poisonous are they? I’ve split my field in half to keep them from the trees because the youngster is an acorn fiend - I had planned to collect the acorns once they’d dropped and let them have the whole field. Big winds mean the sectioned 1/2 is littered with leaves - too many to easily collect over such a big area… there’s loads of grass that side. The vet seemed to think acorns were only a real problem if they ate too many/didn’t have any other forage available - is this the same for leaves too or are they more poisonous?

Not sure about how poisonous the leaves are however I have several mature oaks in my paddocks and have grazed horses freely on them for 20+ years. Never had a problem touch wood, when the grass gets scarce I always leave hay to discourage them from eating anything they shouldn’t.

Yeah I have noticed for the most part on other fields they just spit the leaves out anyway but there’s so many of them blown over in the strong winds this last week ? I wouldn’t have sectioned the field if it weren’t for mister attempting to gorge himself on acorns so once I’ve collected those hopefully they’ll be fine back in that part as there’s plenty of grass
