So far, considering my horse is out 24/7 unclipped and unrugged, I'm feeling surprisingly alright and managing to keep her hacking 4-5 times per week. Catching-in in the dark no longer feels terrifying!
I've had to start riding out just before sunrise some days, with decent lights, but that actually feels a lot safer than during daylight in many ways, as drivers can't tell what the hell my flashing lights are and slow right down. It's only a short stretch of relatively quiet road, though.
