Yes and no. I was double barreled in the face, making a right mess of it, with lots of broken bones and scarring, but I am of course very lucky to be alive/not brain damaged/lost an eye etc.

Still in pain though, all of every day, and have been for 13 months now. As well as my face hurting, I have whiplash in my neck which is getting worse instead of better, and I can't ride/run/any of the other sports I used to do, hence huge weight gain. I can't work, or study etc etc. Like I say, it's rather ruined my life

Please, please be careful, and maybe put on a hat and gloves

It's really easy to think that it won't happen to you (my mare is a sweetie) but the impact that little walk in hand has had on my life is just awful

OMG...that is awful...I am sorry ...just makes us aware that we should always be on our guard. I always wear a hat and gloves....I feel naked without!!. I hope your pain subsides and I wishes to youxx
 
Puppy - thank you for that. My young horse has been kept in for a long time, and I decided to put him on the lunge (not allowed to loose school), and he just dragged me all over. I had to unclip the lunge line for safety, and almost got caught in the face by his hooves.

I'll always be wearing a hat from now on.
