Drumclog sections up! Roll call here!

I think I'm going to embrace the american footballer look. Combined with my puce face and sweaty hat hair, I think I'm going to be a bit of a strunner!!! :D

Finishing work early tomorrow so I think a trip to Straiton M&S food on the way home so I can empty them of chocolate mini rolls.

Times are up!!! I have butterflys, i dont stressage till just after two but will up there early to walk course, how long do you think i should leave to walk the course? Im feeling very rusty with the eventing thing its been a couple of years, keep thinking of all the things i need to do and pack!! lol!

Great news about the jumping saddle Davesmycat, i bet you will both feel so much better!! :D

Look forward to seeing everyone on sat :D :D

P.s would love some Mr Figjam photos if still about to.

Daveismycat- no more glam than the rest of us! ;) Mr FJ always thinks it's a good look when I take off my hat and have my hairnet on still. ;) Ooooh... will need to try park next to you if you have the supply of choc mini rolls, yum! :D

applestroodle- you and Magic are going to romp round! :D Think how fab he was at Strathallan over the intro fences! :) I allowed 1hr for doing 1 lap of Scone and managed it. I'd maybe allow an extra half hour to do a 2nd power walk if you wanted? Then I'd add on half hour for blethering/watching etc but that's prob just me who has that problem...! :p :o

Will tell Mr FJ he's to look out for you.

PS- took H out to RC SJ last night and she felt fab- nice and keen and came home with 2 red frillies, yay! :) A quiet few days and increased food hopefully helped and Sat was a blip.

FJ - 2 frillies already this week?! ooh hope it's a good sign for the weekend :D
I'm no 141, hopefully Mr FJ might catch me this time? :)
Will try to nab a nice spot near catering facilities, anyone coming early to help me hold on to it?:p

bryonyjane- hope that SJ and XC are close by! My SJ time is 13.56 and your XC is 14.02! Will do his best though. :)

I'm going to be there pretty sharp, have 9.56 dressage, so will be aiming to arrive about 8.30am ish. Need to figure out how long the journey will take, going to be an early start... zzzz...!

Good luck everyone! Hoping to get a chance to swing in and watch some of the XC :D

I see they've just put a few jump preview pics on The Scottish Horse facebook thingy ;)

I have no idea, but I think that's what Google Maps is telling me! :o I need to find my way along the M8 to the M74 then take the A71 off that? Google maps says 1hr 5mins (obviously I add on a little for Trundly Trev & Hopalong in tow) which is not as long as I was expecting? Would you say 1.5hrs would do it (from about 15mins the other side of SNEC)?

I would have guessed at about 2, you're about 15/20 mins EK to Strathaven then about the same to Greenfields (though I am working on Sherman timings here!)
A725 is the road from Strathclyde park to EK, A726 is EK to Strathaven & A71 is Strathaven to Drumlog, if that helps?

Would I not be as quick sticking on the M74 then onto A71 rather than taking A725/A726? It looks like the two routes cover the opposite sides of a rectangle, so shouldn't be too different distance wise, but bigger roads would be quicker/smoother travelling?

That will bring you along through Stonehouse, more of a direct route, but I think the roads are better through EK. The Stonehouse to Strathaven Rd isn't nice. Maybe I'm biased as I know that end better though. It's pretty much a diamond shape, with strathaven as the bottom point & Strathclyde park as the top:

Either way you double back on yourself.

I drive both roads every day both are much the same. I am just oposite Greenfields & we always go through Stonehouse if we are hoping on the the M74
