Dry cough

My 13yo tb has developed a dry cough this past week. He does one every ten minutes or so, but more regularly when being ridden.
He's on a shavings bed and has drylage but has been on this for about 2 months with no problems so far.
Diet wise, i've recently put him on micronised linseed.
He is turned out at least 3 times a week (YO is fussy about how often they go out).
Any ideas or advice about this?

Could well be that everywhere has dried up now. My own horse has developed a cough the last couple of days. Doesn't sound as bad as yours but I put him on naff respirator liquid and within 24 hrs noticed a big improvement

Hi. My boy has developed a dry cough too. I've been spraying his haylage with water and also putting a table spoon of chest cough medicine in too.It has worked xx

Oh the cough medicine is in his feed not on his net ! Xx
