Dry flaky skin like dandruff and baldness

My foal has very flaky skin, all over his body. It started on his neck and is now everywhere, although it is still worse on his neck. He has small bald patches where he's scratched. Its not ringworm. The insides of the tops of his legs have gone bald where the fur has come right off. Any ideas?

may be worth giving him a bath just incase it is because of something that is on him? and a spray with frontline maybe?

My boy gets this when his mites are really bad.

my boy has this except his fur doesn't come out, just dandruff. i think it might be from his sweet itch.

Its not rain scald, i can't see any lice either.

It helps if you can clip round the area and then bath with maleseb shampoo, which you may have to get from the vet

Funnily enough my TB is very flakey at the moment and I was going to post about it today. He had a bath last week so not sure what it is - its on his tummy and sides. Any ideas?
