I have 2 horses, both out 24/7 currently. Looking for a dry shampoo I can apply in the field for the patches of scurfy coat. Thank you

There's waterless shampoo if that is what you mean?

If so, I use Absorbine Bath in a Bottle when in a rush - you only need a damp cloth/brush to rub it in and no need to rinse off afterwards :)

I found Cowboy Magic quite good at stains on my grey. Spray on wipe off with damp sponge. I did have a totally dry one once, but I can't remember the name and tbh it wasn't very good.

Also find cheapy baby wipes from local supermarket that rhymes with middle quite good. They do an extra large wipe which is great for cleaning up all sorts of stuff.

Edited to add: Not sure either would be good at clearing scurf though.

When my pony had a greasy/scurvy patch I used to apply cornstarch daily, rub it in and then brush it off. No idea if this should be done but it seemed to work for us! Cheap and cheerful.

I use Cowboy Magic Green stain remover on my white horse as a shampoo for small areas. My Exmoor has severe sweet itch and just for funsies is also extremely water phobic, so I add a good squirt of her benzoyl benzoate/need oil lotion to water to make a dilute lotion and sponge it on as a no rinse option. It's done miracles for her scurf and itching.
