Any suggestions for a chunky lab that gets very dry paws that are very rough and can crack, leading to her being footsore?

The other lab has lovely soft paws, kept the same..

Was wondering about putting shea butter or handcream on her paws at night!! Am I mad? Do they do something like this for dogs?

Camrosa ointment? Not that I use it on my dog, but I'm sure I read in the leaflet it could be used for that. It's worked wonders on my horse. :-)

I have just started using Musher's wax on one of my dogs that was suffering in the same way, especially after being on the beach.

I have been using it for a few weeks now and it's brilliant stuff. I put it on every morning and have had no problems since.

I got it off Amazon.

Thanks for the replies, food for thought. Going to give Mushers a go - don't think its her liver as she just had a full health check and it comes on in bad weather - worse in snow and ice when salt on the roads..
