Vet has been again for final blood tests on Josie this morning. Then he says we'll start the drying up process.

He's said we'll use drugs, possibly pergolide to dry her up, and limit feed etc

Has anyone had any experince of drying mares up with pergolide or any other drugs? (her foal has been weaned for 1.5 years now by the way). Am I right in thinking she'll have to stay in her box? How long for? She hates being in when her mates are out, so may need sedating?

I'll ask vet all these qs when I see him next week, just wondered if any of you had any experince of this?

thankies xx
