Just wondering...Do you dry off your horses before leaving them for the evening?

My share boy had a wet neck and mane with added mud for extra measure and I tried to get off most of the wetness but he was still soggy when I left him (after putting on his stable rug)

Nah, I chuck him in and let him dry himself with his body heat... I also leave turnout rug on so its nice and dry for the following morning :D

Nope! His stable rugs are standard no-neck ones, and his turnout is half neck, so he is dry where it matters. He dries himself very effectively with a wood pellet bath!

Nope. Wash everything's legs off, change rugs, pick out feet, bed.

If I waited for everything to dry I'd never go inside.

If something's hunted or competed and come home late I'll wash off and then chuck a Thermatex on and turn on the heat lamp in their box. Then I can go in and have supper and only need to rug up again when I go out to do lates at half 10.
