Can DSLD/ESPA cause mild ataxia/incoordination?
Friend's vet had never even heard of the disease but he is showing suspensory ligament stretch, muscle loss, loss, extreme tiredeness after working, stiffness after working, 'dog-sitting' and practically every other symptom. He is also ataxic on Neuro tests front and rear.
He does have an abnormal neck xray on C7 with a closed up gap to C6 but a specialist says that's 'not significant' though how he can say that without an MRI is beyond me.
The horse is not insured and MRI is out of the question. Biopsy for EPSM is negative. EHV test has not been done but has now been requested.
Any ideas what can be wrong with this 7 year old 15/16 tb would be very gratefully received.
