dubarry boots

In view of recent reports of poor quality I would say overpriced and overrated. I would check out some of the recent threads on here about them faling apart - I would spend the same money (or less) on Ariat Grassmeres.

A lot of money for a not so flattering boot imo

however I am heavily nagatively biased having gone to burghly last week and seen so many dressed exactly the same in dubarry boots, cal it the sheep effect, made me determined never to want to join them.

In dubarrys defence though to be that popular they can't be so bad!

I was given mine for my birthday by a very kind fried. Have to say they're lovely. They are SO comfy and soft to wear. Never leaked yet (and I do wear them in mud!). No sign of any falling apart either and Ive worn them (and ridden in them!) since March. Love mine.

I adore them. I can absolutely trash them during the week, up to my knees in mud, water and general muck, walk the dogs in them, everything. Then come the weekend they scrub up good as new and look smart enough to wear to the pub.

They are so comfy, I can walk miles in them and not feel a thing, they are warm when it's cold and cool when it's warm. Fab boots.

Llanerch I'm so with you! It was actually frightening to see what some people were wearing at Burghley. Felt more like a fashion show than a horse event!
BTW about 80% of the 'Dubarry' boots on show at Burghley were knock-offs. The real ones do at least skooch down a bit which makes them look a little less hideous....

Still, taste is a personal thing.
