can anybody help me? ive wanted a pair of dubarrys for aaages but i dont have £250 to spend on them, i dont want a cheaper pair of copies as they dont fit aswell as the real ones (i have very skinny calves unfortunatley), ive heard you can get them cheap from the factory in ireland, but they wont post them to you. does anybody live or know sombody else who lives near there, so i can send money and then get the boots posetd to me? im desperate for some. or would be happy with a second hand pair in good condition (size uk 4)
any reply would be helpful, cheers!

Ohhhhh! I totally love Dubarry's! Can you tell me more about this place in Ireland? I'd totally be up for a similar deal! I need a size 6 though! This place in Ireland sounds like an early christmas present!!!

As I seem to be the only person on here that lives relatively close to the dubarry factory, rather than pm-ing you all, here goes. The factory is about 40 miles from me in Ballinasloe. The boots are about 150 euro plus (going from memory) and they don't always have all the sizes in all the styles. Postage in ireland is a hell of a lot more than in the UK. I returned a rug to equestrian clearance (it was a light weight turn out so would weight a lot less than the boots) last year. It cost £12.50 to ship from the the UK but it cost me 40 euro to ship back. I am not sure if the factory shop box them up so there is that too.

Basically you are pretty much paying the same as you would in the UK. My advice is get them for £200 on sale somewhere in the UK and you are paying the same and you get to try them on etc. Also, I am not sure if the factory ones are actually seconds but I could be completely wrong on that score.

I believe they are seconds, however, my freind went to Balinasloe and got a pair which were sold as seconds but in fact were perfect. They were ones which had been sent out to someone and returned because they didn't fit or whatever, and then the factory sell them as seconds (even though technically they are not).

She paid £95 for them at the factory about 3 years ago

mine leaked and got repaired and are still crap! got dublin river boots and the linings went and the best so far in the leather wellie range are my harry hall faro boots with the zip up the back!! excellent and comfey to ride in too (comfier than dubarrys and dublins as go right up to the knee and dont drop and catch on the sadle flap!

I got mine for just over £100 6yrs ago!!!! Only because my OH's good friend is head of the company over here! Need some more now but OH isn't in contact with him as much anymore and not sure we could get as good deal now!
