I have ridden in mine and used them as general wellies every day for believe it or not for 6 years & 9 months! They finally lost their 'water proof- ness' yesterday- gutted! It might have something to do with me using the pressure washer on them! They have been worth every penny and would buy another pair- cost per wear is now negligible! They were well looked after but got put through hell. I also have a pair of Grasmeres, comfy but not worn as well, certainly won't last 7 years!

I had the Dubarry Clares and lived in them inc riding and they lasted two years. These are designed to be ridden in and I had another pair of Dubarrys before which I rode in but shouldn't off. I now have some Ariats, I think they are Windemere? They are about half the price and so far so good.

There's me and a friend at the Highland Show last year, you can see how thick set my legs are and I'm a size 6 wide calf.

I love mine and wouldn't be without them ever! I have ridden in them but didn't again as didn't want to ruin them!
