Just recieved a pair I bought in the sale and they seem to fit at the front but stick out at the back, has anyone else go this problem? My calf is obviously smaller than I thought. Not sure if they look quite right.

Yes, I didn't realise 
I'd seen post saying they were quite fitted. I've tried chaps on and found those quite tight on the calf but these just look a bit silly. I have derby country house boots and they look fine but I think it's because there's a bit of a gap allround my leg rather than just at the back. Have to hope they last a while longer!

hi i have these boots and was sold a 5 and a half (they told me they were a 5 as they didn't have a 5 and thought i wouldn't notice) and found them much bigger than a the 5 when i took them back to exchange them so if your foot could take a 1/2 size smaller and you really want them i'd try a smaller pair 
i love mine and they are also great to ride in much better than cheaper makes
