Dubarry sizing help please

Hi, I am wanting to buy some dubarrys but I have small feet and wide calves. Do you have any recommendations as to which of the boots come up a little wider? I normally take a size 4 wide in Mountain Horse, if that helps.

I have wide calves, i have the Galways, after wearing them in they have softened and fit a little better.

thanks Becca, the problem is that most companies think if you have small feet then you have really skinny calves!!! If I try on a pair in a 6 the calves are normally great but the foot is too big!!

I take size 4 wide calf - I got size 5 in the Dubarrys and put an insole in/wear thick short socks - they fit OK.

That sounds good Mousehole - which ones did you buy? Did you try lots of different ones on or just the ones you bought?

Also Dubarry recommend going half a size down on your normal size

I take size 8 normally but has 7.5 in Dubarrys

I'm not too worried about the foot size I am more worried about the width of the calf

I have size 7's and the calf measures 41cm but they have dropped
I think thats the average on the Galways

Yes width does get narrower asyou go smaller. They do a style with an elastic insert for wider calves. http://www.dubarryboots.com/catalogue/44

I am a size 7, but I couldn't get them on my calfs, 8 were snug but have dropped now, and they are roomy in the foot! (these are galways)
