Hi

I currently am on my 2nd pair of Dubarry's & they are now letting water in! Does anyone have the Tuffa Suffolk boots? What do you think to them?
I was wondering if they'll be water proof enough or if they have a long zip? Also the sizing?
My Dubarry's have each lasted me a year and while they were dry I loved them!
Has anyone had both? If so which would you recommend?

Lots of questions I know & I apologise but any info is appreciated

Thanks

I have both and live in the Tuffas!
They come in normal and Broad widths but are quite adjustable.
They have a side zip but you don't need to open it to put them on, you do them up with 2 leather/velcro tabs on the side.
I love mine! OH calls them my Lara Croft boots (:D)
The foot sizing is very generous - I take a 6 1/2 (40) in everything else but had a 6 in the Tuffas.
Buy them! You won't regret it!

I have had both & waaay prefer the Tuffas.

Thanks everyone, I think I may just have to treat myself! We're going to Lakes this weekend and I have a feeling I'll need some nice dry, warm footwear!

Just went and looked at the Tuffas online and have to say I don't like the look of them (style wise). Having said that I have never tried a pair on, and I guess as long as they are comfy that is what matters.

Same goes. Not really my cuppa tea but can see why people would like them

I've had my Dubarrys two years and still going strong. I use their leather products though after wearing them and it hopefully seems to have helped keep them in a good condition.

If you've only had your Dubarrys a year have you tried contacting them and seeing what they suggest? For the money you pay for them i'd be expecting a longer life span than one year.

This is my 2nd pair of Dubarry's - they had to replace the 1st as they too were letting water in...I'm really not overly impressed with them for the money but I do love them while they're staying dry!!!!

I thought I'd have a change as on my feet the Dubarry's only have life expectancy of 1 year!!!!!

I'm very hard on my footwear & Dubarry's just don't seem to be able to stand the pace!

Same with me, I'm on my 2nd pair of Dubarry's with the first pair only lasting 11 months before they leaked (and they were in excellent condition and very well looked after)

My friend has the Tuffa and they've lasted really well, the only issue she has with them is that as they're sheepskin lined, they can get too hot in the summer but on the other hand are perfect for winter! They do 2 calf widths. I think I'll definitely get these when my current dubarry's give up!

My Dubarry's started leaking after 2 years and the sole split open, when I spoke to them at Chatsworth Horse Trials this year about it they told me that 'nothing lasts forever and had i considered gluing them back together'!! For the amount they cost and the life span they promote them to have i was definatley not impressed!!! Needless to say i won't be getting another pair and may check out these Tuffas instead.
