Dubarrys/Ariat Grasmeres - how wide?

as title basically as I can't seem to find width fittings (and I have fat calves )

Love my Grasmeres but wore them until they died!! So comfortable

do you mind me asking how wide your calfs are?
Mine are 18" so obviously I don't want to be spending silly money if they aren't going to fit
My local tack shop doesn't stock yard boots

They must come in different widths as my ariat fits well and my legs are like sticks lol

dubarrys are very narrow until worn in!! and hard to get on! but once worn in BEST thing since sliced bread!

Mine are 18 too - I have both boots!

Grassmeres were a teeny bit tight but once broken in were fine - And obviously the laces made them really adjustable so long socks or jeans underneath were not a problem - Have had about 4 pairs now.

The Dubarry Galways come in an 'Extra-Fit' wide calf and fitted my chunky 18 inchers just fine!! ;-))

I have deceptively wide calves. The sales assistants in tack shops never believed me when I said I needed extra large half chaps and would make me try medium and large first!! I didn't like the look of the Grasmeres on legs that weren't stick like and I don't think the Dubarrys are anywhere near as durable as they were 5 years ago so I bought some Dublin Pinnacle boots. Cheaper, lovely fit, VERY comfortable. I love riding in them too.

My calves are huge too, Ariat's and normal Dubarrys were way too narrow but (hooray) Dubarry now do Extrafit ones (eg. http://www.magrigg.co.uk/dubarry-galway-extra.html) and they fit!!! Hardly taken them off since i bought them.

Dubarry Wrexfords come up a bit shorter and are wide, great for shorties.

I still found them to be a bit tight and i wanted a long pair (I wanted to be in the 'Dub' gang ) I love my Dub xtrafits.

I have just got a new pair of Dubarry type boots from www.kanyonoutdoor.com they were about £100 less than Dubarrys are fab quality and come in reg and wide fittings!

PS I dont work for this company but Highly recommend
