I am thinking of asking for a pair for my birthday...

What do people think of these boots?

I am thinking of something for both mucking out in and riding in...

I got some for xmas - I love them

Don't think you meant to ride in them - but I have been hacking in them - and wearing proper boots for schooling/ jumping.

Get them - they are lovely

lol - I have just been through this trauma. Do I spend (or get someone else to spend) £200 odd on boots that are going straight into mud?

So I spoke to as many people as I could and not ONE person had a bad thing to say. In fact one lady had had hers for two years!

finally cracked and bought some last week. I love them.
Get some!

Fantastic boots...last for ages...you dont have to do too much with them (she says knowing she should really clean them!!)...comfortable...easy to put on/take off...nice looking too!!!
I wear mine always down stables...have done so for last 2+ years and they are still going strong.

I love mine. I've had them for years now and they are still as good as new even though they have been through allsorts of mud, wet, snow etc.

I've had mine for four years, and they are fantastic - very warm and waterproof! However, they aren't really suitable for riding in as they have quite a chunky tread, and although they'll go on forever in the mud, I'm not sure that it's wise to subject them to . . . . horse wee!
If you want boots for general yard work & riding, I'd either go for a pair of the 'Muck Boot' riding boots that you could do both in, safely, & without ruining them, or have a pair of decent neoprene lined wellies for the yard and something else to ride in! But . . . . if you are determined to go down the route of something like the Dubarry's & someone else is paying for them, then maybe try the Ariat Grasmere - not too disimilar to the Dubarry's, but they are designed to be ridden in (safely)! My sister has a pair, & loves them - like the Dubarry's, they still look good for posing in, with a pair of jeans tucked into them!

The toggi herritage are a nice alternative, and at less than half the price you cant go too wrong! I also like the fact that they arnt trying to loo like dubarrys but very different.

If you want something you can ride in as well id go for the grasmeres, i would love some but i think they only suit stick thin legs!

I've had mine for 4 yrs and i wouldn't have anything else,i dog walk in them, muck out, hack in them.I've not cleaned them properly since i got them and they still look good.I don't school in them though,i wear my MH boots for that. Can i just say i have some 'Muck' boots too and they are crap! they are sooo uncomfy, gave me blisters and have been sat in my boot cupboard for 3 yrs! Can you tell i have a large collection of boots!

Honestly you won't look back if you get some, promise!

I've got some - I dont wear them for mucking out in though cuz dont want to knacker them. Mine are for course walking and posing!

I bought a pair of Muck Boot Co. for mucking out in and they are the best daily boot I've ever bought! Plus you can ride in them too!

A friend found someone on ebay selling brand new Dubarrys for £180 sorry dont know site.

I couldnt and wouldnt justify spending £200 on a pair of boots to get covered in muck when a pair of wellies is far more practical, sorry to be a killjoy!
