Dubarry's are technically not for riding in but many people do, they've just bought out some new ones which are for riding in, although not had them myself.

I far prefer the look of the dubarrys then the river boots and for comfort the dubarrys win again.

i have the dublins, bought them at the end of the summer and no problems so far. they are so comfortable for wearing for long periods of time and keep your feet warm, have also ridden in them when i have left myboots at work. i have the new river boots which are a darker brown than the river boots. it is also worth shopping around as they vary greatly in price. iended up going into equine strore to try them and make sure they fitted then bought them of ebay where they were £20/£30 cheaper than everywhere else

I've got Dublin boots - I wear them 6 or 7 days a week, for anything up to 16-18 hours a day, at a time.

I have the 'old' style - apparently the new style are more hardworking as they are re-inforced down the leg, but I've had my boots for eighteen months now. Admittedly, they don't look like new - but I work on a yard, I ride at least 3 times a day in them, I walk the dogs in them ... I do literally everything in them & I'm not one for religiously cleaning them either, they tend to get stuck under a hosepipe if very, very dirty!

They will probably be replaced this Spring and Summer, but I'll definately get another pair.

I've had both.

The Dubarry's were outstanding BUT i didn't get £225 worth of wear out of them so was a little disappointed when they fell apart after 13 months

The Dublins are good but they do rub my heels a little bit. They have lasted longer than 13 months and were less than £50 !!

If I was loaded Id have the Dubarry's anyday
