Has anyone got a pair?
I really like them but there so expensive! So I'm going to hickstead at the end of the month with plans to buy some..

I'm just wondering what everyones views are etc, are they worth the money? And how can u tell if there real or fake?

I don't want to spend £100 or however much on a pair of boots that arnt the real ones?

Any reviews on them?

i wouldnt reccomend them. i have a pair and they have fallen to bits in a few months with fairly light wearing them. the rydale ones seem much better, they will be my next buy :)

I saw a girl at college today wearing them and hers were falling to the side etc hence why I asked what everyone thinks of them lol

I have a pair and literally live in them. I ride in them, do yard work in them and wear them for anything horse related! I had them for around 3 months and they are still going strong.

How can you tell if there real ones or fakes? I no my friend has a fake pair but think buying from hickstead I'm wondering if people will be selling fakes? They do look very comfy!

I wouldnt have thought there would be fakes being sold at hickstead. not sure what fake ones would look like. But mine have the little dublin horse head on the side of each boot. They are very comfy!

Ohh that's alright then lol I'll have to invest in some then :D fingers crossed people will be selling them there! Also did u wear them in the winter? Did they keep your feet warm or would the winter ruin them? :D

My daughter has Dublin boots and I don't recommend them I'm afraid. She has had them for a year and has worn them probably 4 times a week to do the stable and also to ride in. Despite treating the leather they have not been waterproof for some time, they have turned over to the side too.

I have Dubarry's which I know are more expensive, but I have had them for 3 years and have treated them regularly and they are waterproof and comfortable still. Def recommend them if you can afford the extra £'s.

Mine lasted a couple of weeks :( :(

I've butchered them with scissors to try and make £100 boots last but I'm afraid they're absolute rubbish.

Sadly I think mine were the last of the old style River boots which are known to be defective as they were reduced from £120. I thought I was getting a bargain :(

I have had several pairs and loved them . Any problems take them back to where you got them from , if they are under a year old and had reasonable wear and have been looked after they should replace them , if not speak to Weatherbeeta direct and complain . They did have a problem with a batch that werent waterproof and the linings were faulty but that seems to be sorted . They arent cheap , in fact the Ariat Windermere boots are cheaper and a better quality boot ... worth a look ?

Different opinions! :) but I love mine and couldn't be without them, I ride in them, muck out, poo pick, etc. etc.

They keep my feet cool in summer, and in winter with a pair of thermal socks they keep my fet warm and toastie too! Mud doesn't ruin them! Water doesn't ruin them, *wee* doesn't ruin them!

As I said, I love and live in mine! ;)

I wouldn't have another pair, next time I will get ariats. No way I will pay the money for dubarrys. Mine only get very light use but the stitching went at the ankle and they leak. Couldn't take them back as I bought them at burghley over a year before but had only worn them about a dozen times and never for riding or yard work........

I bought these Mark Todd Country Boots a few months ago. They are in a simialr style to Rivers.

They have become my best friends! I love them. I wear them nearly everyday - I do yard work in them, ride in them, walk the dog in them. They are lasting really well, are totally waterproof and haven't even dropped much on the leg. :)

I don't understand why so many people like them. I think they, and other similar boots are ugly. Maybe I'm odd? But it seems like everyone has a pair!

WE SELL THEM and the company have told us to take all waterproff labels off them. They will not state they are waterproof any more which for the money is very bad.

I bought mine at Badminton 2010 (£85 from DH stall, bargain!)

They're still useable, however lining is ripped, insole comes out with my foot, leather is cracked across the foot (however I've not particularly cared for them), stitching at the back of one of them has come undone, are splash-proof but most definitely not water-proof (as they are no longer advertised to be!), rubbish for riding in as the sole is so floppy and gives no support, have dropped ridiculously, but have been very comfy and warm boots through a cr@p winter and at the rate I would have got through wellies they have been cost effective and my toes haven't been numbed!

All in all I don't regret buying them but wouldn't buy another pair.
Probably spend a bit more on Ariats (or similar) that will last longer, therefore even more cost effective. (Although unfortunately could never justify Dubarrys!)

I got some for Christmas and love mine.
I don't often wear them on the yard, but when I do they're waterproof (although haven't gone river walking in them..) and absolutely fine. Can walk miles and miles and miles in them and still be comfy. Lining is fine. Insole is fine. Not collapsing.
They're not designed for riding in though..
