Does anyone know when they stopped being waterproof!! I bought a pair a couple of months ago as my old ones (3 yrs hard wear) were on their way out. Started wearing the new ones to the yard a couple of weeks ago and this morning is the first time Ive walked across a wet field in them. Right foot was soaked within minutes, water coming up through the sole somewhere. The shop where I bought them has exchanged them for a new pair as obviously they shouldnt leak through the sole but the chap pointed out that they are no longer sold as waterproof!! He said that Dublin are changing this and will soon be selling them with a waterproof lining as had loads of complaints but I couldnt quite believe what I was hearing. Anyone else having problems?

Not with the waterproofing but the inside of my right boot has ripped making it hard tto get on and off. They were comfortable though and reasonable value for money.Had mine 18 months when they broke so not good in terms of longevity.

I think they're rubbish. Had two pairs. One leaked after 3 months so they were exchanged. The other pair lasted 4 months. I now only wear them when it's dry as my feet get completely soaked in them. I decided to invest in a pair of dubarrys and have never looked back. Can stand in a bucket of water in them!

Thats the thing, I find them really comfy to wear around the yard, walking the dog etc. I keep wondering whether I should invest in a pair of Ariats or Dubarrys, just a bit worried about spending so much in case theyre not gonna be any longer lasting. Ill see how this pair go and might just have to bite the bullet.

I have just e mailed Dublin about mine, the right one has all ripped inside and is so uncomfortable, don't know wether i will get any response though, but thought it was worth a try :(

Just saw this, i have the same problem with mine, only bought them at Christmas.

Funny thing is when I complained about mine I was informed they had never had any sort of complaints like this before and I must have "over worn" them- they are not recommended for yard work.
At the time i didnt work on a yard, they were only worn to do my one horse!

Dont touch with a barge/cruise liner pole!

not waterproof, lining tears and pulls out every time I took my foot out, went in the bin never to be thought of again, Ariat all the way (though may be swayed by some bargains at Bramham, though never Dublin!)

I was wanted some DRBs about 18 months ago but after a bit of research found that the lining ripped inside and they weren't all that good. I got Toggi Canyons off ebay in the end and have to say they have been amazing - waterproof, comfy and no lining issues - would highly recommend to anyone reading this that is thinking of the Dublins
