Well we went out today for the first time since last April to do the 85cm trailblazers at duckhurst. We behaved like an absolute mental loon in the warm up, threatening to bronk, canterind sideways, backing up...you name it. I was already beginning to wonder what the hell I was doing there and I was just ready to get back on the lorry. We walked the course and it looked quite a bit more solid than the unaffiliated local shows we have been used to, with fillers and plants and all things fancy.
We went in expecting a first fence elimination or better still not even getting close to the start for the spooking.........but long legs proved me totally wrong and jumped a fantastic round. He kept the same rhythm all the way round, jumped everything without backing off or spooking and just had an unlucky 3 poles down. I was over the moon with him....very proud and happy
