Dudley yellow?

We've had black nosed yellows in the past. I'm just trying to remember if any were from a black/yellow mating but almost all have had multi-coloured pedigrees.
A lady in the pub was explaining lab colour genetics to me a while ago. She told me from Bertie’s parentage he would keep a dark nose and that the litter around the village at the same time would really brown out and she was bang on.
So does that make Bertie a Dudley?!

Edited, thank you @Thistle i have a non-Dudley!
His mum was black and his dad yellow. I think!

Toast is black nosed, black eye liner dark eyes and black skin, he's red/yellow, black mum carrying yellow, red/yellow dad

Freya has paler skin, but not a Dudley, her black nose as a pup went pink but has a clear black edge and is darker in summer, her eye liner is dark, her eyes slightly paler than Toasts and her coat colour is similar. Her parents both red/yellow. Her grandfather Copperbirch Paddy is know for throwing pale noses apparently.

Colour genetics are fascinating, so many things going on. Just don't get me started on the dilutes, silver, charcoal and champagne. I'm not a fan!
friend's bitch had a black and tan which was somewhat unexpected.

There is a black and tan that goes to our local pub, genetic anomaly but a very attractive little bitch. All her littermates were black, she just happened to have a double recessive gene. It's a non recognised colour but I'd love to see more of them, so pretty!

A quick google suggests that Gordon Setters may have been crossed into labs back in 1950's and the colouring comes from those genes filtering down.

I would have one in a heartbeat, to add to my mismark collection. 😂 Only ever been one in the UK to my knowledge and it came as a complete surprise.

Interestingly (probably only to me!) the debate around admissible colours is on record from when the breed standard was drafted in 1888, and they wouldn't have been debated if they didn't exist, so there's always been yellow/liver/blue and whatnot in there.
