Dull coats...

[You Wont Forget Me]

Hi all, well my boy has a really dull coat and i've been looking for a supplement to put him on to help get a bit of shine on for him.
So far ive been reccomended:
-Cod liver oil
-supermarket vegtable oil
-alpha oil
-Omega oil
-lineseed oil

What would you reccomend i use, which has best results?

Oil will NOT develop a nice coat... what you have there is a mineral deficiency. More oil will make a dull coat more greasy and that is all.

It is winter now and coats look duller anyway as the winter coat grows through...

What I would do is ensure a good mineral balance is provided... namely copper. I have hanging on a tree in the fields are a copper lick and a LamiLight lick full of mins and all ours are a-glow especially the chestnuts

Second looking at mineral intake. I recommend micronized linseed, good for skin and coats and lots more.

Yes def micro linseed it's fab stuff and this time off your year is known as " the blackberry coat" which will be duller.

Winter Glow Summer Shine is a great supplement for coats. If it's vit/mineral deficiency then what a bout a general supplement like Codlivine or Equivite.

Charnwood milling linseed, less messy than using oil. My horse has a mirror like shine!

Linseed meal - 20Kg for £25 if you can get the Charnwood. Two tea mugs a day for a 16.3hh

My chestnut almost NEVER gets groomed -don't need to. This shine is from the inside out.

I was also recommended rosehip..? Never tried it though!
