A rabbit has dug itself a nest in my muckheap and had 4 baby buns!! Dexter found them this morning and helped himself to one for breakfast before I realised what was going on!! They have fur but their eyes are still closed. Can't imagine they will last long in there and it is not terribly convenient for me. If they do survie I can only hope thy haven't inherited their mothers brains.
Maybe this should be in SB.

Henry almost got a bunny the other night, I was torn between 'Noooooooo!' and willing him on:p The bunbun got away by the skin of its bobtail though. More than can be said for the one my mate's dog got the day before, god but her dog moves like a flash when it suits him!

Same happened to me years ago, Polly who I had then dug them out one by one and ate the lot, problem solved! These were a bit bigger than yours and the size of her stomach, she didn't ask for any food for 2 days and had a light snack of a couple of chicken wings!

They must like the warmth in there!!!

Sadly the babes are no more. :( He had 2 more while I was up in the field yesterday afternoon (I found him with evidence) and the last one has also disappeared. I suspect Dexter had that one too. Problem solved but they didn't really stand much of a chance there.

Not a good week for Bunnies! Tink has gone home with the family for Easter and apparently has already killed and dismembered 4 rabbits and left bits everywhere! :o

The local wildlife will be glad when she returns to England!

I have no problem with them chasing and killing them. We have way too many and they cause havoc in my fields. It's when they leave them maimed and still breathing I get fed up with. I am useless and just cannot kill them even though I know I should.
