i am not particularly pro but i am certainly more pro than anti and count myself as pro hunting - i have signed petition to revoke the ban as i believe no adequate substitute has been put in place to replace hunting. i posted the link for the petition on some other forums, and as always have had comments of sorry im with the foxes on this one etc, but one person said "Just do a mock hunt instead"

WHAT?! i was dumbfounded! what relevance has that got?!

That's the kind of ignorant comment that gives the antis a bad name (along with sabs).

I do wish people would learn the facts before arguing so passionately about something that does not even affect them!

Basically most anti's are oblivious to the facts. They don't realise that because of the ban more foxes than ever are being killed, including healthy ones, by the use of guns, snares etc. This means that there is a less healthy population.

They are suggesting that instead of getting the ban repealed why don't we carry on with the mock hunting that we are presently doing to remain within the law. Then they don't have to think of any more lame reasons why we shouldn't hunt! The anti's know that it is quite likely that at some point the hunting ban will be repealed. They're hoping that we wont keeping going to get the change and suggest that we accept the mock hunting to keep us occupied!!!!
