My boy H Tobago is getting so many mares that we really need a dummy mare to collect from him for all the AI.

He is dummy-trained (at Twemlows) and it would be more reliable and safer for him than using a 'jump mare' every time we need to collect. (Dummy mares don't kick LOL!)

I can buy one from EV (Twemlows' suppliers) but it is rather expensive, so wondering if anyone knows of another reliable source that might be cheaper?

Or is it a case of 'you get what you pay for' and we should buy the expensive one from people we trust?

Any advice appreciated - I need to make a decision urgently (today) in order to secure the Twemlows/EV one if we decide to buy it....

Thanks anastasia - I have checked this out, and they are cheaper than EV/Twemlows but unfortunately all their dummies take weeks to deliver, whereas we need one NOW!

Cliveden used to be a TB/racing stud, but is now mainly eventing. And unfortunately no dummy!

I know I should have been better prepared, and not running around trying to get a dummy when we're already well into the season. But I had no idea that my boy would be so popular in his first season, so it just didn't occur to me that we would need a dummy for him.

We'll probably end up buying the EV/Twemlows one as we need one asap and they can deliver quickly.

But if anyone knows of any cheaper (but still good quality) models that can be delivered soon, please let me know!
