I had a lesson off him a few years ago and I thought he was alright. He even managed to motivate me for a bit!

I had my masterclass lesson with him which is in this month Horse Mag, thought he was ok, but not very motivational for me and it all seemed a bit same o - but each to there own...

I have a lady called Lisa Murphy she is fantastic and based in Ashford (she will travel) - she is great with youngsters and giving you confidence !!

I'd second Lisa, I train with her also...she is fab, really helpful with an upbeat attitude which i find helps motivate me more

He trains Hattikins and she really rates him. He also has a fab huge indoor school so no problem having lessons in dark or wet.

He is just down the road from me too!- if I was into SJ I would definately give him a try as I have heard that he is really good. I really recommend Sally Thurloway as well. Their tel no's I think are on the BSJA website. Theres a top irish Showjumper, Shane Breen based at Hickstead as well, Don't know if he teaches or not?

You could also try Judi Piper-Dadswell who is not a million miles away from you (nr Golden Cross)...she's an Accredited Trainer and trains a lot of the more successful people in the Sussex Area. Will Funnell is not too far away either, as is John Popely
