Hi all
Has anyone used a dung beetle poo scoop on a pellet bed? Wondering if it works?
has anyone found a cheaper alternative to the dung beetle scoop?
thanks

I have only ever mucked out and poo picked with my rubber gloved hands. I reckon it is better for the back, more thorough, saves bedding and is quicker. Tesco household rubber gloves are 55cent a pair.

I’ve never heard of a ding beetle scoop. Will go Google!
I just used a normal shavings for when I had pellets. I did buy a pellet fork once but no real difference I didn’t think.

lol for those that don't know it has a sieve in the bottom- meant to save arena surface but obv surface dependent as it has to fit through the holes.

See doing that would be the death knell for my back! I use a scoop with a short rake and lean on the scoop handle, tried a long rake but it hurt my wrists.

I saw a woman who uses a shopping basket type thing... uses a fork to throw it in there then shakes it out (or you could skip the fork part)
