dust mites cracked heals

has anyone else had problems with there horse pony having red pink skin that cracks and weeps. i clip his legs and bathe his skin keep it clean and put cream on then within a couple of weeks its sore and split open again. a friend of a friend seems to have the same problem and it seems to be dust mite. anybody got any solutions to help get this cleared up thanks

Might be Mallanders or a reaction to mites or bedding. My boy had a Dectomax injection recently for the itching.
