I have a mare who rubs plaits when left in overnight. She also rubs her mane at times when there are no plaits in it. I have a hood for her but when it is warm I do feel sorry to bundle her up in it. I thought of trying a Dustbuster as it polishes the coat, always helpful, and sits high up behind the ears, but would it be tight enough and high enough to protect plaits?
Or most plaits if I was prepared to sacrifice the top couple or do in the morning? She can get over excited when plaited and 4 a.m. is not the time to be battling her in preparation for a 6 a.m departure!
Any help gratefully received, thanks
