We are lucky enough to have been given a gorgeous little 14.2 rising 5yo to produce and sell as an event pony. His name is Dusty, we have had him since just after Christmas but what with the weather and school we haven't had a chance to do much with him. He had never jumped under saddle before he came to us, but absolutely loves it - this is probably his 5th time, and we thought we would give him a little course to play with. Thought you might like to see the video :)

Told you he's cute :) I am doing a simulated XC clinic elsewhere tomorrow so he is coming to that to have a play - his first trip away from home...

Hope you don't mind, your link didn't work for me so I watched on this one:

Super cute, lovely forward riding and a smart jump!

Not at all, thanks for posting the alternative link :) And thanks for the kind comments :) He had a super-smart loose jump when I saw the breeder's photographs, but you never know whether they will reproduce it under saddle, do you? It took him a little time, but he is really starting to express that super technique now

Naww, love a cute dun pony :D He's so smart!

Random aside, don't know how good the PC stuff round you is, but if he's aiming at BE90 they have a Young Event Horse league going at PC Novice, where you get points and then pretty prizes at the end... (not sure how known about it is, but it looks really good!)

He is cute! He is just like my Connemara pony I had as a teenager - same colouring and look about him. My Fred loved his jumping too and if there had been Pony eventing in those days, I would have loved to have got involved, as Fred jumped clear around seven BHS (as it was in those days) Novice cross-country courses in Pony Club Open ODEs, but I couldn't register him as he was only 14.2.
Dusty is a great name and I hope he goes on to great things!

Thanks Lolo :) We're taking him steady, not sure if/when he'll be ready to get out and about eventing, we'll know more once we've taken him XC schooling which is now high on the agenda ;)

Aw! He is adorable! I might just have to buy him for myself! ;)

Hee Hee, I know he is totally adorable, and lovely to have around, a bit like a labrador puppy :D He winds the others up as he wants to play all the time

Thanks Garnet, I thought he was a connie when I first saw him too but he's actually a British Sports Pony, by a Welsh Sec D, out of a stunning mare who is Welsh/TB/Arab lines. You may know from previous posts that we have been fairly heavily involved in the pony eventing scene the last couple of years  miniTD has had the best fun, I wish it had been around in my day too. Peony, who doesn't come on here much any more sadly, was on the first ever Pony Team back in the 80s :)

Yay for yellow ponies! :D he's super cute and I'm sure he will do very well with mini TD piloting him.

Thank you :) :) He has quite a lot in common with your gorgeous yellow pony ;)

What a cracking pony; I love him :)

Thank you, I think he is going to be a stunner :)

He's smart :) I also wish I rode even 1/10th as well as mini TD :D

Thank you :) And don't tell her, she might believe you - plus you wouldn't say that if you had seen her take her leg off at the smallest fence on the course at Howick on Saturday (on her rather smart hope-to-be-junior horse) and manage to pick up 20 penalties :D

I'm actually so excited :')

I stayed with Dustys breeders over the summer and got to 'be in charge' (as in bring in/out, ride, muck out) of Dusty. He's such a star! I'm SO glad some one on HHO has him now so I can see his progress!
I took him to his first show under saddle and he was a superstar dear of him, I enjoyed my many lessons a week on him and all his cute little perks.
Mini TD rides him really well and it looks as if they get on great - I cannot wait to see their progress together. Shame she hasn't got him forever, and not just to sell! :P
Ah dear dusters :')

I have absolutely TONS of pictures of him aha if you are ever interested.

Charlotte :)

Very cute & very smart. all though I do have a soft spot for a dun...

Heehee, so do I, they are so striking, and - hopefully - popular :p

looks lovely! :D

Thank you :)

Ooh I love him. Always wanted a dun, and he looks like he'll be a lot of fun. Really nice positive air about him :)

I think he will make someone a really super, fun pony once we've done some more educating - he loves to work :)

Love him, I bet locals will be biting your hand off to buy him in a couple of months time :D

Gorgeous little man.

Fiona

Well, we hope so :) Not quite as gorgeous as your little man though - loved the pebble photos...

Lovely! He definitely put my in mind of dafthoss's YP :D Cracking jockey too!

Yes, very much so - although Dusty is a little lighter-framed...

Absolutely gorgeous pony! He has a great canter and looks like a natural over a fence!

He is gorgeous and does have the most amazing canter, really quite exceptional :) He is loving his jumping too and shows a lot of promise, I think :)

Clonk! Sound of penny dropping as to who you are :D What a small world! I have seen the photos of you riding him, it looks like the pair of you had a lovely day :) He is the essence of cute, as I said earlier he is like a puppy, always in your face wanting to join in and be loved :D

Love him:) Hope my Mini can ride half as well as your Mini when he gets older:)

Thank you - and I am quite certain he will :)

Oooh, now to work out if that's a good thing or a bad thing :D;)
I must say, when sat on Dusty my riding wasn't exactly, er, its best ;):o For whatever reason aha. But yes we had a lovely day and he was a very good boy. He is exactly like a puppy :D Dear of him, I can remember that every time I'd walk past his stable to get to Charlie or Jay he'd try and give me cuddles :p
But yes, I'm looking forward to seeing his progress :)
