it was staated on the news that many complaints had been made to the owner of the horses that they were not cared for correctly and constant flooding of the land was consistant but the horses were never removed to prevent what happened!
I am confused here, if these horses were bred for meat, why did they spend so much time resusitating the old one that collapsed? Surely if they were bred for meat, then they would not reach a grand old age? Also confusing is that fact that there were several fresians amongst them - the dutch are very proud of their fresians and don't generally eat that breed as they are worth more as riding horses?
I agree that it is a fact of life that the europeans eat horsemeat, I also recognise that horses are bred specifically for meat over there, I am just not sure that these horses were intended for the meat market
