Dy On Bridles...

Yep, I have that one for everyday and this one for shows...

I LOVE their bridles :D I also absolutely adore their reins, the feel of them are my fave rein I have found. The bridle you showed, mine actually has bit clips rather than billeted cheek pieces, and it is odd that the clip for the throat lash clips with the clip inwards, but I cannot fault it, but then again I am their best fan!

Can take a pic of Ted in his tomorrow if you like for more views?

Nah, but I have a big old dumb blood who is as long as the Titanic and never going to be a dressage horse, so quite frankly it could be doing a superb job, I just wouldn't know about it LOL!

Warning - absolutely pointless reply:

Haven't got one, but I LOVE the look of the Dyon bridles. In fact I love all their products and am currently eyeing up the navy wool show run with the tan leather fastenings. And the navy saddle cloth. And the head collar with nylon and tan leather (if it only came in a big enough size to fit Maggie's giant head). And the stable rug... sigh.

Cool, thanks Weezy! If you could take a pic that would be lovely... is the leather a lot courser than on the show bridles? I will only buy bridles with wide padded headpieces, and there aren't many of decent quality at sensible prices!

Thank you!!!! I've been looking for this bridle for ages to show a friend as she has a horse with sensitive ears and she wanted a cut away one.

I think they are lovely - i am definitely going to get one for Jupi when the time comes. They look so comfortable.

Why is the throatlash like that - any particular reason other than 'looking different'? Do like the colour of those drop nosebands though :)

I'm a cheapskate so wouldn't pay that much for a bridle (£15 jobby has been going strong for 5 and a half years and the leather is nicer than the 'posh' (:p) bridle Wilby came with) but if I did I'd probably go for a made-to-measure type one from a saddler; that way I could design it how I wanted it...

Dont like the bridle that drop is on though - i want that other bridle with a drop on it!!! :D Shall await their reply as have emailed!

I like the design of the throatlash, not sure what the purpose is for it to be like that though.....

Thanks for the link, boogles, but I'm with Tempi on this one - want that other bridle with a drop! I shall eagerly await their reply :D

Reply!!:

Unfortunately the working collection bridle is only available with a flash noseband. We can get Dy’on drop noseband bridles but they come from the Dyon Collection and therefore are quite a lot more expensive than the working collection bridles – they cost £250.00 including the reins.

Hmmmmmmm at £250 i'll take a rain check on that one and just go without!! :D

It is my only irk with Dy'On, that you have to have the flash set up for the working one :( Ted is usually ridden in a grackle, but am experimenting with cavesson, which is going OK for now :)

Oh and the reason for the throat lash is ergonomics, to take all pressure from the poll - it certainly makes sense. Only thing is that even on the tightest hole it is quite loose.

Sorry Kat, missed this so will do it tomorrow for you. The leather is very, very soft, the headpiece is very soft - TBH I cannot tell the difference in the leather between my £250 and £100 models.

Piss poor effort I am afraid, cannot say Ted was overly into being a model this morning LOL

I do like the sound of the reins and at £30 was tempted by a pair but it is coming up with £10 postage on that :eek::eek: I would really begrudge paying that much postage on a pair of reins
Anywhere else stocks them?
