I have a brown nubuck synthetic libra trek saddle which I used on a piebald animal but now plan to use on a black animal with a big white blaze and four long white stockings...I think she'd look better in black tack? So rather than have to buy another(though I'll not rule that out!) I wondered if it was possible to dye that nubuck stuff and any tips for doing so??

And do you agree that black tack would suit this colour animal better?

many thanks!

I find that 4/5 of my clients with black horses who thought they wanted black tack end up with brown - it makes black horses look blacker! And I don't think nubuck is really dyeable, even less so than leather, which is not something I'd recommend anyway.

Edited to add that I've re-read and realised it's synthetic - you can't even dye synthetic clothing, the material is made that colour from the word go, not like cotton or leather that gets dyed. Not going to happen, sorry.
