Dy'on blinkers, anyone used them?

I struggle to keep my focused on what we are doing. He is an ex racer and raced in blinkers. My trainer has suggested these SJ legal blinkers. Anyone tried them? Comments?

I have, I found they made very little difference. However, I was using for every day use on a super spooky horse, I wasn't showjumping, so perhaps that's why.

Thanks, this is my concern. They aren't hugely expensive but I'm don't like wasting money.

Mines more spooky in blinkers! Shes a driving pony so different thing but shes definitely braver without them. I think the limited vision does bother some horses

Maybe worth trying some French blinkers as a cheap trial? (Not that they’re competition legal but they are cheap!)

I did think of this, we have some cheek pieces somewhere from pointing days, maybe if I cut them down to 3 cm.

Halter fuzzies on the bit cheeks are a good (and cheap) way to test the theory without spending a ton.

I use them on my competition bridle to show jump, she can just be quite reactive to outside influences when in the ring, since wearing them she hasn't been so bad - i don't think they make the world of difference but for only ₤20 it was worth a try
