E&L insurance

I have my two horses, 2 dogs and horse trailer insured with NFU.

I had my dog insured only 16 days when he needed major operations on both his back legs at a cost of £3700.

NFU paid out within days straight to the vet so I never had to pay a penny and the claim form is straight forward and simple to fill in.

The customer service is excellent and they are to me reasonably priced being not the cheapest nor the dearest.

I will never go with any other insurance company.

I was with E&L 18 years ago for a year but never had to make a claim so personnally can't comment but bad reviews back then scared me off and I stopped my policy after the first year.

Since then I have never heard anything good about them apart from the few posts on here.

I am surprised with their bad reputation that they are still going, though I guess people new to horse ownership are took in by the cheaper policy not realising the possible consequences

hi

thanks for all the replies. i have been informed by my friend who works at the vets that they ask the owner for payment if insured with E&L as have had a lot of trouble with them in the past. therefore i'm going to stick to NFU

thanks!
