Got there nice and early for the PBA in hand class 4 yrs and over, they were running quite late so stood and watched the pure Arab class, a beautiful gey stallion won it. In the championship the handler fell over while she was running him out and unfortunately let go of him. He went galloping over to the next ring which had mares and foals in it. they managed to catch him, but the handler badly hurt her hand and had to leave the ring.
We then heard another massive crack and a lady in the next ring had been kicked and was on the floor, her friend was screaming and everyone was running over there. The St Johns ambulance was there in minutes and the poor lady was taken off in an ambulance to hosptial after she was stablised. I later found out that the mare standing in front of her backed up and double barrelled her in the back of the head
I hope she is ok.
Anyway, Axel was a little star and we came 2nd
In the ridden he was again a star until it came to do our ind show and he wouldn't go down one end of the ring, and really messed about. Several other horses were doing the same thing and I think only 2 weren't bothered. 2 people left the ring, one of her own accord and one was asked to leave.
Anyway Axey came 6th and the judge said 'I think you know why!' as she gave me my rosette
I'm so pleased with him, that's the first time he's ever cantered round with others and stayed relaxed and not bucked!
Thanks for reading, send some good vibes to the poor lady that was kicked.
